Air & Waste Management Association Presents Symposium on Greenhouse Gas Measurement
Pittsburgh, PA (January 12, 2009) The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present the First International Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Measurement Symposium March 22-24, 2009, in San Francisco, CA.
"One of the greatest challenges of our time will be to develop ways to reduce GHG emissions to mitigate climate change," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA Executive Director. "This conference will give attendees the opportunity to discuss and share ideas on the latest GHG measurement advances."
Greenhouse gas measurement and monitoring, and technological needs for accurate local, regional, national, and international monitoring systems will be reviewed. Symposium participants will begin defining the technical problem of monitoring GHG emissions at multiple spatial scales, and discuss how to perform these measurements.
The First International GHG Measurement Symposium will feature an exhibit hall where exhibitors will be displaying the latest products, technologies, and services. The symposium will also offer an associated professional development course, Emission Measurement Techniques for Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) from Area and Fugitive Sources.
