ARTEL at PITTCON 2008 to Announce Results from Extreme Pipetting Expedition Mission #4

At PITTCON 2008, ARTEL will announce the results from the latest mission of the Extreme Pipetting Expedition. For Mission #4, the team traveled to Olympic National Park to study the effects of humidity on pipetting accuracy. Understanding how humidity affects data integrity is important as humidity levels can vary across and even within laboratories. In addition, pipette calibration laboratories control their relative humidity at 60%, while laboratories are often significantly drier.

The Extreme Pipetting Expedition is a multi-phase, year-long scientific study to illustrate the impact of laboratory environmental conditions on pipetting performance and data integrity. Previous missions explored how pipetting data integrity is affected by conditions such as barometric pressure, pipetting warm and cold liquids, and dry heat.

ARTEL will announce these findings at PITTCON 2008, March 3-5 at the Earnest N. Morial Center in New Orleans, LA.
