Apriso Outpaces Industry with Record 74% Year-Over-Year Growth


Company attributes record second quarter 2008 growth to expanding demand for enterprise systems to manage global manufacturing operations

(LONG BEACH, CA - August 19, 2008) - Apriso, a leading provider of adaptive software solutions for global Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), today announced its fifth consecutive record revenue quarter, reflected in year-over-year total quarterly revenue growth of 74 percent. The company's growth was accomplished while improving operating margins by 18 percent. Revenue growth was contributed by each of the geographical markets the company serves.

Customer Activity

A total of 11 customer sites went 'live' with FlexNet during the second quarter 2008, with nine existing clients continuing to expand their enterprise rollouts. Activity was spread across the automotive, aerospace & defense, electronics, mill products, life sciences and consumer goods industries. Scandinavian Tobacco, which made a choice for Apriso in late 2007, has already gone live with their first plant implementation located in Mylenice, Poland. By using the FlexNet Operations Execution System (OES) to deliver expanded functionality beyond that of a traditional Automation or Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Scandinavian Tobacco can improve product genealogy, real-time quality control and agility in their manufacturing operations.

Product Updates

Two FlexNet product updates were released during the second quarter 2008 designed to improve synchronization of material flows and to lower the total cost of quality:

FlexNet Warehouse Management for Manufacturers - a solution that integrates warehouse operations with production processes to eliminate idle inventory, provide complete traceability across production and the supply chain, increase quality and drive Lean initiatives as a comprehensive material flow management system.

FlexNet Containment Manager - an application that allows manufacturers to benefit from the industry's only unified architecture for business processes; adding actionable capabilities to a Quality Management System (QMS), FlexNet Containment Manager integrates quality execution with containment management to maintain brand equity while minimizing the alternative - a public product recall.

During the quarter, Apriso was recognized as "a leading provider of supply chain services and technologies at the forefront of innovation," according to a judging committee of end users, solution providers and an editorial advisory board of Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine.
