Reading, PA (October 2016) - Nicholas Bentley, CEO of American Polarizers, Inc. (API) announced that it has named Jeffrey Snyder as its new president. Mr. Snyder joined API in 2014 and has served as the company’s product engineering manager since that time. “Over his short tenure with the company, Jeff has been instrumental in helping us bring new products and capabilities to market that have firmly established API as a leading global supplier of polarizing materials and products,” states Mr. Bentley. “Our mission is to continue to innovate and adapt to changes in technology in order to maintain our position as the premier provider of polarizing solutions in the world.”
Mr. Snyder believes that the firm is well poised for the future based upon the continued growth in the use of electronic displays and optics world-wide and the company’s ability to provide high quality optical filters and solutions for a broad range of these applications. “API’s continued success will come from helping customers solve a wide range of optical problems through technological advancements, new product innovations and the development of unique solutions for specific segments of the marketplace,” says Mr. Snyder. “The recent expansion in our precut filter product line, for example, offers distinct advantages for customers needing high quality laminated polarizers, but in limited quantities.”
Mr. Snyder brings extensive engineering, technical and corporate management experience to the role. Prior to joining API, he was employed for twenty-one years in various roles in specialized materials industries including fiberglass, graphite and wood products manufacturing. Mr. Snyder holds a BS in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Systems Engineering, both from Penn State University.
