About Western Rail & Dock:

In 1942, among war production heroes, Henry J. Kaiser was building a Liberty cargo ship every 4 days using new techniques of pre-fabrication and assembly line methods. The concept of "unit loads" stored on pallets began to take hold in industry during World War II. The result was the expansion of the forklift truck business.

It was in that same year of 1942 that another company was making its modest beginnings. In the kitchen of his Beverly Hills home the grandfather of current president Bill Billard began the W.T. Billard Co. His first branch office was the trunk of his 1942 Studebaker. A half a dozen locations and one name later, Western Rail & Dock, Inc. has never lost the "human touch." Not only for their employees but for each of their suppliers and customers. It is reflected in how they respond to customers' problems, and in how they are innovative in approaching new ways to handle the materials which each of their customers has available for their marketplaces.

Western Rail & Dock, Inc. firmly believes this is just what it takes to stay strong as a business. They're excited about the introduction of the Airtrax line, because at 60-plus years and counting, Western Rail & Dock, Inc. has a new opportunity to meet customer's needs in a revolutionary way. They encourage customers to "come revolutionize the way your warehouse operates. Come be a part of our new beginning."
