Automated Barrel Blasters is designed to handle larger parts, Empire ProFinish barrel blasters come in two models: a BB-2 model with a 26” diameter by 19” wide basket that holds up to 300 lbs. and a BB-4 with a 30” diameter by 30” wide basket that has a maximum capacity of 800 lbs. Both models have tunable reclaimers to assure uniform finishing and reduce media waste and are built with many special features to meet the demands of continuous production blasting. Used with glass beads and aluminum oxide.
Stratus Technologies also offers Empire Basket Blasters for a fast, efficient economical method for finishing small parts basket blasters. To finish parts, you simply drop them in the BBO’s 9”x9” basket, set the timer, and these tumble. As parts are rotated through an abrasive blast stream, they are cleaned, finished or peened evenly and automatically. By simply varying air pressure and abrasive media, you control the type of finish you get as well as required processing times.
