Agentek Enables Wireless Electronic Signature Capture and Proof of Delivery
ATLANTA, GA. - Jan. 3, 2005 - Agentek, Inc., a leading wireless mobile computing solutions provider, announced today that Fastenal Company has licensed Agentek's Agent Fleet(TM) solution to help improve its delivery of services to customers through better visibility into management of fleet operations. Fastenal, the largest fastener distributor in North America, will look to Agent Fleet to provide real-time visibility to their entire service-chain enterprise including drivers, OEM manufacturers, stores, back office and dispatch operations. Drivers will be able to view detailed stop information and report OS&D, exception and completion information at the point of activity.
Agentek will enable Fastenal's drivers to run seamlessly in real-time, regardless of coverage, with no interruption. The Agentek application resides on the hand-held and will allow for complete driver editing of the electronic delivery receipt, adjustment of inventory items, performance reporting, route summary reports, equipment and location verification, tracking of trailer drop off/pickup and trailer to trailer transfers. Proof of pick-up from the OEM manufacturer, scan verification and electronic signatures will also be captured and communicated wirelessly to Fastenal's backend systems in seconds.
