AEi Wins Consumer Audio Automation Contract
High End Audio System OEM Chooses AEI for Automotive Application
Wilmington, MA - March 22, 2006- Automation Engineering Incorporated (AEi), a leading supplier of high precision automation systems, has won a contract from a leading consumer audio OEM to develop a sophisticated automation system for its high-end audio components and systems for use in automotive applications. AEi is not disclosing further terms of the agreement.
The automation system will use AEI's FlexAuto (TM) software, machine vision technologies and algorithms, plus third party liquid dispensing subsystems. The resulting AEi system features flexible vision-guided dual head thermal grease delivery that includes full vision verification of product and process conformance.
According to AEi Chief Operating Officer Justin Roe , "Heat dissipation is an enormous problem for high power audio systems. By automating the dispensing process, the added control on heat dissipation will add significantly to the product's lifetime reliability."
