Advantech and Avalon Vision Solutions Form New Partnership
(Cincinnati, Ohio - 09/14/2006) - The eAutomation Group of Advantech is pleased to announce a new partner relationship with Avalon Vision Solutions. Avalon Vision Solutions is the leading supplier of machine vision systems designed to protect plastic injection molds. Avalon has installed over 2,000 of its MoldWatcher(TM) mold protection machine vision systems in more than 450 plastic injection-molding plants in North America. Avalon Vision Solutions is introducing the Validator(TM), a compact vision system that enables you to automatically identify manufacturing defects in real time. It is meant to fill the gap between pixel sensors and smart cameras.
Avalon is using Advantech's UNO-2170 along with their camera and camera software to enter this new and challenging market. This partnership is unique in that customers will be able to order this new equipment from either Advantech or Avalon, although, Avalon will be providing the support for this new product.
