ADP Enhances Workscape Compensation Planner with Addition of Peer Statistics

New Functionality Helps Organizations Manage Pay Equity Across the Workforce

ROSELAND, N.J., Sept. 29 - ADP ®, a leading provider of HR, payroll and benefits administration services, today announced the addition of Peer Statistics to its Workscape Compensation Planner, an award-winning enterprise compensation management solution. Designed to assist organizations with managing pay equity across the workforce, this peer data enhancement is used during the pay-setting process to enable more informed compensation decisions.

Controlling pay equity has become increasingly important, especially with the passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in January 2009. The Ledbetter Act clarified that each paycheck and other compensation resulting from a discriminatory pay decision is actionable under the federal Equal Employment Opportunity laws. The use of peer data during compensation planning is one way that organizations can help to avoid discriminatory pay practices.

"Our Compensation Planner Peer Statistics capability not only helps companies manage pay equity but also provides valuable insight into how organizations are executing against their strategic compensation goals," said Tim Clifford, President and CEO, Workscape, an ADP Company. "For example, if a company's strategy is to pay engineers in the 75th percentile to meet market needs, the salary range, market data and peer salary data is now available to do that analysis."

By using Workscape Compensation Planner Peer statistics, HR professionals can also create reports such as peer salary and ratio by job family to analyze where there is equity across the job family. Within a given job family, multi-faceted visibility can be gained into salary ranges with quartiles, median comp ratio, median peer statistic point and peer statistic rule applied for individuals within the job. A wide range of other standard reports are also included in the Workscape Compensation Planner Peer Statistics offering.

"It was logical that the industry's leading compensation management solution should address the market's need for relevant peer data that allows organizations to manage the pay equity process," said Terrence McCrossan, Division Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, ADP National Account Services. "Our Workscape Compensation Planner's ability to manage complex business rules is now further enhanced with the availability of comparative data to help clients ensure alignment with pay equity objectives."

Compensation Planner Peer Statistics is available now. For more information about solutions from Workscape, an ADP Company, visit www.workscape.com or call 1-888-605-9620.
