ACD Elektronik GmbH is The Winner of The iF Design Award 2020
ACD Elektronik GmbH has won this year's iF DESIGN AWARD, thus joining the ranks of winners of this world-famous design label. The M2Smart® Mobile Handheld Computer was awarded the prize in the "Product" discipline, category 1.09 Computers. The iF DESIGN AWARD is given once a year by the oldest independent design institution in the world, the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover.
The 78-member, independent, international jury of experts was impressed by the patented modularity of the M2Smart® Mobile Handheld Computer. The special feature of the M2Smart® industrial handheld computer is a patented slide mechanism used to attach modules quickly and without a tool. A wide range of modules including Emergency Stop buttons, keyboards, RFID readers, temperature sensors, printers and payment modules can be connected easily and with no great effort and can also be adapted to customer-specific needs. This greatly reduces the variety of terminal devices, which gives the user a significant advantage and measurable savings in time and money.
The number of applicants was large: The judges considered 7298 submissions from 56 countries to award the coveted seal of quality.
