2017, Q2 Innovation & Growth Report

The second quarter has been focused on expansion. We’ve directed our efforts towards supporting our growth initiatives in both our extrusion and defense divisions. Below are this year’s second quarter highlights.

  • To get better results and cut the time it takes between testing and production, Guill has begun construction of its material testing lab. The lab will offer rheology testing, differential scanning calorimetry, thermal conductivity measurement and polymer flow analysis. The lab is on target to be completed and ready for testing in the third quarter.
  • Amandio Bartolo was named quality assurance engineer, bringing over 20 years of experience to the team. Amandio will serve both the extrusion and defense divisions.
  • Guill exhibited at Interwire 2017 in Atlanta, GA, USA from May 9-11. The expo included exhibiting companies, speakers, and visitors from more than 50 countries. The Guill team received inquiries from visitors from Canada, India, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey.
  • Introduced in early 2017, the Single-Point Adjust concentricity feature has gained popularity among manufacturers, particularly in the wire & cable industry. Third quarter orders are expected to double as advertising efforts increase globally.

The third quarter will be an exciting time as Guill’s second quarter efforts will begin to materialize. Be sure to follow our social media accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Google+ for updates on the latest from Guill throughout the year.
