Expansion of Corporate Capabilities Benefits Customers in Metalworking in North America

Morgantown, PA (March 25, 2009) - Boosted by record sales levels in 2008, Behringer Saws recently celebrated its twentieth year of North American operations by announcing expansion of its assembly capabilities and product line offering here. Behringer supplies world-class quality automatic bandsawing, marking, punching, drilling and shearing systems and high performance circular cold saws to corporations, service centers, job shops and manufacturers across the continent and throughout the world. Its customers can be found in the primary metal fabrication, aerospace, heavy equipment and transportation and agriculture industries among many others.

"While other companies are shipping jobs and outsourcing sub-operations overseas, Behringer Saws continues to solidify our commitment to our customers and distributors here in the United States, Canada and Mexico," said Richard J. Klipp, President. "By expanding our ability to customize machines and build fully integrated material handling systems, we can deliver more cost effective and productive solutions to existing and new customers."

Behringer's recent expansion of assembly capabilities resulted in the additional purchasing of domestic steel and machine components. Integrated supporting material handling systems utilizing components from local suppliers are designed and built here as well. This practice assures synchronization with the company's bandsaw and cutting equipment resulting in improved throughput for customers.

Incorporated in the U.S. in 1988, Behringer has a long history of serving the metalworking industry. The company was founded originally in 1919 in Kirchardt, Germany by August Behringer. The company first ventured into the development of agricultural machinery followed later by hacksaw and bandsaw machines and equipment. Today, Behringer produces heavy-duty, horizontal automatic and semi-automatic bandsaws, mitre saws, plate saws, power hack saws and a full range of turnkey material handling productivity-enhancing products. The company opened its 60,000 square foot Morgantown assembly, sales and services facility in 1999. It is currently supported by a 12,000 square foot spare parts department.

Over the years, Behringer expanded its product line offerings to meet customer needs and applications. Beyond its core bandsaw range, the company offers the Behringer Eisele brand of manual, semi-automatic and automatic miter cold circular saws, high performance cold circular saws utilizing bi-metal or carbide saw blades and CNC miter circular sawing systems. Also, the Vernet Behringer line of structural fabricating equipment includes high performance drilling, punching, shearing, notching and marking machines along with beam coping and drilling and sawing lines.
