Adept Technology Partners With Industry Veteran in Expanding Its Industrial Mobile Product Line

Strategic Agreement With RMT Robotics Expands Adept Sales
Offering to Include Lean Manufacturing Solutions

PLEASTANTON, Calif., March 22, 2011 -- Adept
Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADEP), a leading provider of intelligent
vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced
that it has entered into an agreement with RMT Robotics, a Cimcorp Oy
Company, allowing Adept to promote and sell ADAM(TM) mobile robot
fleets to end users in core market segments such as automotive,
electronics, life science, medical, and general manufacturing
industries. This arrangement enables the Adept sales and distributor
network to promote ADAM(TM) through their global channels with
technical support, manufacturing, systems integration, and customer
care for the complete solution provided by RMT Robotics.

"RMT Robotics has been an excellent partner to Adept throughout their
integration of Motivity and is achieving great successes with their
deployment of the ADAM(TM) solution," said Rush LaSelle, director of
global sales and marketing for Adept Technology, Inc. "We are pleased
to now be equipping our sales force with the tools and domain expertise
brought to bear by RMT in better serving the logistical challenges
faced by a large number of our clients."

Although a number of conventional product transportation systems exist
in the marketplace today, their practicality is limited by their
expense, disruption, and an underlying lack of flexibility. RMT's
ADAM(TM), powered by Adept Motivity, is a category-defining mobile
robot that provides fully autonomous transport of goods in
manufacturing applications. RMT's unique, cost-effective, and expedient
solution for product transportation propels automation to new levels of
possibility. ADAM(TM) expands Adept's range and capability in servicing
the logistics market by increasing payload capabilities and in offering
unique fleet management capabilities.

"RMT Robotics is working vigorously to expand its global reach and
bring the uniqueness of the ADAM(TM) lean manufacturing solution to
companies throughout the world," said Bill Torrens, director of sales
and marketing for RMT Robotics. "Adept and RMT share a common vision
for autonomous mobile robots in industrial applications and will
therefore operate as excellent partners in the delivery of the ADAM(TM)
system worldwide."
