Based on dual-zone steam tunnels, heavy-duty KST 55-710 is used for precise shrinking of shrink sleeve labels at slow to moderate speeds. Adjustments for steam volume, flow, and nozzle position allow application of steam to specific points on package. Containers of any shape can be filled or empty, and tunnel works with PVC, PETG, OPS, and PLA films in gauges as thin as 40 microns. Optional Efficiency Package features thermostatically-controlled electronic temperature regulator.

Engineered for continuous use, PDC Shrink Tunnels use infrared, hot air convection, and steam, as well as combinations of methods. Units are dual-wall, 18 or 20 gauge stainless steel, with single or multiple heat zones, and have secondary stainless steel outer skin to protect operators from high temperatures. Compatible with PVC, PETG, OPS, and PLA as well as freezer-grade and UV barrier films, systems process heat shrinkable sleeve labels, tamper evident bands, multipacks, and pre-forms.

Shrink Tunnel ensures uniform distribution of heat.Lantech Inc.

Dec 30, 2002 Soft Convection Shrink Tunnel offers real-time adjustment of air velocity, air temperature, and conveyor speed. ViewWindow™ monitors entire tunnel and shrink packaging process. Dog-ears, bubbles, and burn-outs are eliminated through uniform heat distribution using convection, which swirls air around heater elements to blanket entire package. System operates on 230 V, 47 A service and requires no air connection. It is compatible with most shrink films. |
