The 2 x 2 and 1 x 8 Fiber Optic Switching Devices come in small MEMS-scale package and consume 100 mW. Variable optical attenuator with indicator incorporates ultra-miniature actuator technology, while 4-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer unifies optical elements into single unit. Twelve channel multimode interconnect is also available. Devices are suited for access area applications where fiber optic cables deliver communication access to homes and businesses.
