Gear hobbing machine, GE25A, is equipped with gear-tooth chamfering device and achieves cycle time of 40 sec. It can machine workpieces with up to 250 mm ODs at speeds of 250 m/min. Fully integrated gantry loader system, with buffer storage, adapts easily to different part types. Designed for dry hobbing, unit can also cut wet or dry with carbide and high-speed steel hobs. Machine has 3.5 sq m footprint and uses Siemens CNC controller. It can also be used for worm milling and can be arranged for grinding special profiles.
