Individual key codes for each press and release are stored in FIFO register, enabling monitoring of multiple key-switch events. Used for keyboard control and backlighting, IC also offers ±8 kV IEC contact discharge and ±15 kV IEC air-gap discharge ESD protection that eliminates need for external protection components.

It ensures jitter performance of less than 1.0 psec RMS at 12 kHz to 20 MHz for high current, high frequency, and differential output applications. Packaged in 5 x 3.2 mm LCC, it is based on LC-PLL IC that uses fundamental AT-cut crystals, so operation isn't affected by frequency deviation. Product operates in temperatures from -40 to +70°C.
