Fluorescence Filters are designed for laser excitation.

Semrock Inc.
Rochester, NY 14624
Jul 07, 2008 Manufactured with hard-coated Ion-Beam Sputtering technology, BrightLine® Laser Fluorescence filter sets are suited for use in laser-scanning and spinning-disk confocal microscopes, TIRF microscopes, as well as any fluorescence microscope or imaging system. Transition from reflection to transmission for both excitation and emission filters is less than 2.5% of longest laser wavelength to enable maximum capture of even weak signals close to laser line.

Shortpass Filters maximize transmission in pass band.

Edmund Optics
Barrington, NJ 08007
May 12, 2008 With cut-off slope of less than 1%, TECHSPEC® High Performance Shortpass Filters feature rejection band optical density of 4.0 combined with greater than 91% transmission in pass band. Made from UV grade fused silica, they are available in 12.5 and 25 mm sizes with cutoff wavelengths of 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650, and 700 nm. Filters measure 3.0 mm thick with clear aperture of greater than 80%, surface quality of 40-20, and wavefront distortion of 1/4l rms at 633 nm.

Long-Wave-Pass Optical Filters are hard coated.

Long-Wave-Pass Optical Filters are hard coated.

Semrock Inc.
Rochester, NY 14624
Mar 20, 2008 Designed for Raman spectroscopy and fluorescence imaging systems, EdgeBasic(TM) long-wave-pass filters feature 98% (typical) transmission, laser-line blocking of light, and greater than 6 optical density. Thin-film optical filters are hard-coated using ion-beam sputtering deposition process for permanent no burn-out optical durability even in harsh environmental conditions.

Filter Technology simulates terrestrial sunlight.

Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC
Chicago, IL 60613 1831
Jan 28, 2008 Right Light(TM) filter, when combined with Xenon-arc light technology, quartz outer filter, or CIRA (coated infrared absorbing) outer filter, provides full spectrum match to natural sunlight. Due to quality of cut-on to short wavelength UV match, experimenters can increase irradiance levels for accelerated operation without compromising correlation. Solution provides appropriate UV spectrum for weathering of automotive coatings and eliminates anomalous test results.

Optical Low Pass Filter helps combat moire patterns.

Seiko Epson Corporation
Suwa, Nagano   Japan
Nov 15, 2007 Suited for use in digital cameras, optical low pass filter (OLPF) employs structure wherein wide-band phase retardation film is sandwiched between pair of quartz plates. This design provides uniform light separation at all wavelengths of visible light, eliminating moire patterns across visible spectrum. Requiring only 2 quartz plates, this OLPF enhances quality of digital cameras and enables them to be made thinner.

Filters isolate individual lines of mercury arc lamps.

Semrock Inc.
Rochester, NY 14624
Sep 07, 2007 MaxLamp(TM) optical filters can isolate 365 nm i-line and 254 nm UV line bands with average transmission of greater than 93 and 65%, respectively. Made with UV Ion Beam Sputtering technology, they do not burn out after prolonged exposure to intense UV source light. Available in 50 and 25 mm dia versions, filters are suitable for applications including spectroscopy, optical metrology, and photolithography mask-aligner and stepper systems.

Filter balances intensity variations in optical systems.

Reynard Corp.
San Clemente, CA 92673
Mar 06, 2007 By inserting Bullseye(TM) Apodizing Filter at aperture stop of imaging system, intensity variations of light source will be modified, which can result in flat top distribution. Density of filter decreases radially from dark center, where light is usually at its peak intensity, to outside edge, where it can become completely transparent. Customizable filter can be applied to various substrate types, and can be designed for any Gaussian function, regardless of beam size.

Zytronic PLC
Tyne & Wear NE21 5SG  United Kingdom
Nov 08, 2004 Optical Control Filter controls direction of emitted light from LCD displays, reducing reflections, and facilitating readability in direct sunlight. Polycarbonate film uses lamination bonding and vacuum deposition techniques to integrate privacy louver matrices with anti-reflection and anti-glare coating. Filter can be bonded directly to LCD displays measuring up to 18 in., making it suited for in-car, naval, and aerospace display applications.

Shortpass Filters feature 3% slope factor.

Shortpass Filters feature 3% slope factor.

Edmund Optics
Barrington, NJ 08007
May 26, 2004 Tech Spec Series consists of 7 shortpass filters with cutoff wavelengths of 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650, and 700 nm. All are 3 mm thick with 25 mm diameter and 80% clear aperture. Surface quality is 20-10, with wavefront distortion of 1/10 wave. Made from UV-grade fused silica, filters offer average transmission of 85% and blocking optical density of 2.0. They are suited for fluorescence applications, separating spectral orders, and as part of custom bandpass filters.

Rotatable Filter Wheel holds up to 6 filters.

Rotatable Filter Wheel holds up to 6 filters.

Edmund Optics
Barrington, NJ 08007
Feb 06, 2004 Rotatable Filter Wheel allows users to accurately switch between up to six 1 in. filters. Thin, lightweight assembly has detents in 30° increments, allowing users to click wheel into 12 different positions. Wheel is designed so that 2 wheel assemblies can be positioned face-to-face on breadboard with less than 20 mm separation. Separate C-Mount adapter allows filter wheel to mate with C-Mount components.
