SpectraLink Unveils DECT System for North America

Addition of DECT Products Gives Customers the Widest Choice in Enterprise Wireless Voice Solutions

ORLANDO, Fla., VoiceCon Booth No. 635, March 6, 2006 - SpectraLink Corp. (NASDAQ:SLNK), the leader in workplace wireless telephony, today announced the introduction of its DECT (digital enhanced cordless telecommunications) products into the North American market. This move, a result of SpectraLink's acquisition of KIRK telecom, offers a cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized businesses looking to improve productivity, responsiveness and mobility in the workplace. With today's news, SpectraLink is positioned as the only provider in the market offering a product portfolio that includes all major enterprise wireless voice technologies; Wi-Fi, DECT and proprietary systems.

"While DECT technology has seen great demand in the European and Asian markets, it is relatively new to North America," said Brian Riggs, principal analyst of Enterprise Telephony for Current Analysis. "But, with the recent regulatory changes favoring deployment of DECT-based systems in the U.S., there is an opportunity for SpectraLink and other wireless telephony providers to leverage this technology and position it as a compelling choice for customers."

"The emerging opportunity for DECT-based technology in North America was a key factor in our acquisition of KIRK telecom," said John Elms, president and CEO of SpectraLink. "Having DECT-based solutions will allow us to address new market opportunities with wireless technology that has been successfully serving mobile enterprise users throughout the world."

The SpectraLink Dect System consists of three components: Wireless Servers, Base Stations and Wireless Telephones. The Wireless Servers provide integration with most enterprise telephone systems and are scalable from a handful to hundreds of users. The Dect Base Stations and Repeaters enable easy deployment for wireless coverage throughout any enterprise environment. Handset options include three different models, all operating in the 1920 - 1930 MHz unlicensed PCS (UPCS) spectrum.

o The SpectraLink Dect 3040 Wireless Telephone includes an 80-number
directory, talk/standby time of 16/150 hours, as well as SMS
functionality.

o The SpectraLink Dect 4020 Wireless Telephone is a high-value,
cost-effective handset with the durability and dependability
required for more rugged work environments.

o The SpectraLink Dect 4040 Wireless Telephone is the most durable of
the handsets offering protection against dust and splashing water
(IP 54).

The addition of DECT technology complements SpectraLink's existing product lines, the Link Wireless Telephone System (Link WTS) and NetLink Wireless Telephones, which offer the most feature-rich enterprise telephone system integration for both traditional circuit-switched and IP-based PBXs. They also offer the advantage of widespread application support through SpectraLink's Open Application Interface, particularly in the healthcare, manufacturing and retail markets.

Availability & Pricing

The SpectraLink Dect System will be available in the second quarter of 2006. The list price per user, including handsets and infrastructure, ranges from approximately $500 to $800 depending on configuration.
