Ultrasonic Sensor is field configurable.

Press Release Summary:

SUPERPROX® SC300 12 mm sensor detects changing colors, clear material, and small objects down to 0.1 mm at speeds of 2000/min. Up to 10 different engineering parameters can be graphically set through Windows®-based software and AC441 configurator. With glass epoxy face and NEMA 4X/IP67 rating, sensor resists most acids and bases, including most food products. It is sealed to withstand dusty, noisy, noncondensing-humidity, high-pressure, and washdown environments.

12 MM Sonic Configurable Via Laptop

The new ultrasonic SUPERPROX® SC300 offers full field-configurability in one of the industry's sleekest packages. Up to ten different engineering parameters can be graphically set through the SC300's Windows®-based software and AC441 configurator.

The SC300 line showcases Hyde Park's technology leadership:
o Processor that can be re-programmed in the field and "window in space" to near and far limits with extreme precision
o Miniaturization and cost reduction without loss of performance
o Glass epoxy face and NEMA 4X/IP67 to withstand the harshest environments
o Sensing changing colors, clear material, and small objects (0.1mm) at high speeds (2000/minute)
o Ease of maintenance and unparalleled total cost of ownership

As recently as five years ago, settings were burned onto a sensor's board and, once the housing was potted, could not be changed. Now through the integration of EEPROM into the SC300's circuitry, much like the flash memory in consumer electronics, customers can stock units and input exact settings in the field, protecting their sensor investment and uptime.

With protection ratings of IP67 and NEMA 4X, the sensor resists most acids and bases including most food products. Available in connector style, the sensor is sealed to withstand dusty, noisy, noncondensing-humidity, high-pressure, and washdown environments. The sensor is CE certified.
