New Tubular Solenoids Offer Integrated Return Spring

VANDALIA, OH - Saia-Burgess Inc. introduces P-8 Series Push Type Tubular Solenoids. They are available as standard with 12 or 24 V DC input voltage, with 10%, 25%, 50% and continuous duty cycles. These tubular solenoids are designed for long life in challenging applications such as office automation and medical devices. They provide a maximum force of 20 oz. and a maximum stroke of 0.187 inches.

In Push type solenoids, the plunger is pulled into the solenoid coil when the coil is energized. The plunger has a shaft extension which then pushes out through a hole in the end of the mounting bushing. The magnetic field cannot be reversed to cause the opposite action to occur, so an integrated return spring is provided to send the plunger/shaft assembly back to its starting position.
