Scientific Cutting Tools introduces the TMLR (Long reach thread mill). The TMLR tools are manufactured from a premium micro-grain solid carbide substrate with a unique long reach design. This special design is aimed at providing a stable, high quality thread milling tool for small thread milling applications. Starting at a 2-56 internal thread and going up to a ½-20 these tools will enable you to thread mill holes previously deemed difficult or impossible by conventional methods. The helical design allows the tools to be extremely free cutting. This becomes very advantages when threading small holes with extreme diameter to length ratios. Threads with 2 and 3 times diameter in demanding materials can now be successfully thread milled with excellent cycle times.
