Subminiature Load Cell for Tension & Compression

tecsis LP offers the Model XLUS88, a subminiature, bidirectional, tension/compression load cell for ranges from as low as 150 grams up to 1,000 lbs. With a compact size of only 0.50" to 0.75" in diameter, this load cell is ideal for applications where space is limited. The wide measurement range and exceptional accuracy makes this sensor popular for test, measurement, and process monitoring and control uses.

The stainless steel XLUS88 is fully welded and built to perform in rugged conditions with an overload capacity of 150% FS. Mechanical overload stops are standard on ranges below 1000 grams, and an option on all other ranges. Accuracy specs include 0.10% repeatability, ±0.50% linearity, and ±0.50% hysteresis (FSO). The unit has an operating temperature from -65° to +250°F, and is temperature compensated from +60° to +160°F.

Installation is via threaded male connections on each end of the load cell, with a twisted lead Teflon® cable 3 feet in length. XLUS88 requires 5Vdc excitation and provides a standard mV/V output, or can be paired with Model ILA inline amplifier if a high level output is desired. Metric threads and custom cable lengths are optionally available.
