Baldor's G-Series Above NEMA Vertical P-Base Motors



Fort Smith, Ark., – Baldor Electric Company is proud to announce the Above NEMA Vertical P-Base motor platform. The new Totally Enclosed, Fan Cooled (TEFC) G-series is available in a broad power range of 200 - 900 HP, in frame sizes 5010 - 5012 at a variety of voltage ratings including 460, 2300, 4160, or 6600. The entire platform has a cast iron frame with a steel fan cover, TEFC Enclosure in a more compact design than the previous generation.



Designed for the pumping and fan industry, these motors meet standard NEMA specified P-Base dimensions for vertical pump applications or horizontal mount for tunnel fan applications. The G-series platform features a grease-lubricated ball bearing on the drive end with a thrust bearing on the upper (non-drive end) as standard. Oil lubrication and different bearing arrangements are optional features if the application is subject to heavy loading.



Other optional features include certifications to meet the demands of the Oil & Gas industry are available, including IEEE841 up to 500 HP, API541 and API547 above 500 HP. A non-reversing ratchet used to control motor backspin upon de-energization can protect the entire pumping system.
