Stand-Alone Datalogger supports remote monitoring via LTE.

Press Release Summary:

Utilizing FPGA technology, Expert Logger can process up to 46 analog input channels. Measurement data is acquired, independently stored, and transmitted to Internet or PC via USB, LAN, WLAN, or LTE. Able to communicate via CanBus, ModBus, and PROFIBUS, instrument stores up to 400 million measurements with time stamps. Inputs measure voltages, currents, and temperature sensors at high resolution via 24-bit ADCs. Sampling rates reach up to 50 measurements/sec/channel.

Remote Monitoring with LTE using Expert Logger Devices

Delphin Data Loggers Transmit Measurement Data Online

CHESTERLAND, OH—Delphin’s new Expert Logger utilizes FPGA technology enabling it to process up to 46 analog input channels at both low and high sampling rates. The Expert Logger is ideal for many applications including product testing, environmental measurement, laboratory data acquisition, R&D, and trials and testing. Measurement data is accurately acquired, independently stored, and transmitted to the internet or a PC for in-depth evaluation via USB, LAN, WLAN or LTE. The Expert Logger can communicate as standard via CanBus, ModBus and PROFIBUS. At CAS DataLoggers we provide Delphin dataloggers along with free technical support. Standalone Remote Monitoring:

Expert Logger devices can now be equipped with an internal LTE/UMTS interface. This makes them ideal for the independent monitoring of machinery, test stands and building structures, or the decentralized measurement of environmental variables. Existing storage capacities in the Expert Loggers can independently record up to 400 million measurements with time stamps. Inputs on the Expert devices measure voltages, currents and temperature sensors at high resolution via 24-bit A/D converters. This ensures fast, precision sampling rates of up to 50 measurements per second per channel.

The remote interfaces on the Expert Logger support not only the LTE/UMTS standard but also EDGE and GPRS. The LTE option can automatically transmit data from the logger's memory to a server, whether on hosted webspace or a self-operated server. Data transmission takes place via a push function where the Expert Logger automatically logs on to a server using a password and user name to transmit the data via (S)FTP. Data transmission can be event or time-schedule based. Combinations of events, e.g. limit violations and time schedules are also possible. In the event of an alert, the datalogger can send text messages or emails. Defining alerts is highly flexible with alert conditions being easily configurable.

Configuration and Visualization Software:

When an Expert Logger is connected to the internet via the LTE option, current measurement data can be transmitted online and viewed/analyzed on a PC using the included Delphin ProfiSignal software. Transmission via VPN provides the necessary security.

ProfiSignal Go can be used to portray measurement data in trends and to carry out detailed analyses. This popular software also enables fast ASCII exporting of measurement data for MS Excel™ or for conversion into TDM format.

Remotely Monitor Transients and Vibration: The LTE option is also available for the Delphin Expert Transient and Expert Vibro data acquisition systems. As an alternative to LTE, these devices can also be equipped with a WLAN interface. A WLAN interface enables wireless transmission of high-speed signals of up to 50kHz/channel. The WLAN function can be configured as an AccessPoint, ad-hoc network, or WLAN client.
