Self-Contained Pyrometers offer laser or color video sighting.

Press Release Summary:

Offering choice of integrated red laser or video camera sighting, PSC-SR54N and PSC-SR54NV can also be used as single wavelength pyrometers. Both 2-color, stand-alone models feature fixed focus optics, digital RS485 communication interface, and analog 4–20 mA output. Optical and electronics parts are enclosed in stainless steel housing, and temperature ranges span 500 to 3,000°C. In switchable single wavelength mode, operators can obtain output signals from shorter or longer wavelengths.

Original Press Release:

New High Performance 2-Color Sensor with Choice of Laser or Color Video Sighting

Franklin Lakes, NJ — Process Sensors Corporation introduces its newest self-contained pyrometer models, the stand-alone PSC-SR54N and PSC-SR54NV.  With a choice of two sighting methods, the PSC-SR54's deliver high resolution fixed focus optics with small spot sizes, digital RS485 communication interface, analog 4 to 20mA output and fast speed of response.  Optical and electronics parts are enclosed in a rugged stainless steel housing.

Sales Manager, Scott Nagle stated, "The nature of this highly compact and versatile IR sensor makes it ideal for use by machine manufacturers, in induction heating, welding, brazing, semiconductor and vacuum applications.  It delivers high performance in the most demanding environments.  The PSC-SR54 color composite video output can be connected to any commercially available monitor, or to a PC via an off-the-shelf frame grabber."

With wide temperature ranges spanning from 500 to 3000°C, the new models offer a choice of integrated red laser or video camera sighting.  As with all PSC two-color models, the PSC-SR54N and PSC-SR54NV can also be used as single wavelength pyrometers.  In the switchable single wavelength mode, operators have the choice of obtaining output signals from shorter or longer wavelengths, or both via analog and serial communication ports.  The free of charge PSCSpot software with optional USB cable for connection to RS485 output allows simple set up of IR thermometer parameters, facilitates multi-tasking and makes the recording of data in graphical, text or tabular format simple.

The PSC-SR54 Series pyrometers are ideal for applications in heat treating, kilns, composites and sintering, as well as demanding research and development environments.  The durable and compact companion stainless steel cooling jacket with integrated air purge stands up to even the harshest environments, and a number of innovative, ruggedly designed accessories are available.

Process Sensors Corporation offers a wide range of simple to sophisticated, non-contact infrared temperature sensors, thermal imaging / thermal line scanning systems, and blackbody calibration sources to meet the most demanding on-line industrial process applications as well as sensitive OEM performance requirements.
