Server Technology Releases Sentry Power Manager Management Pack for Microsoft® System Center Operations Manager 2007

RENO, Nev., -- Server Technology Inc., the global leader for Cabinet Power Distribution Unit and Power Measurement and Monitoring Solutions, today announced the release of the Sentry Power Manager (SPM) Management Pack for the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2.
"This comprehensive integration of SPM, our data center power measurement and monitoring solution, with System Center Operations Manager 2007, gives data center professionals a comprehensive dashboard view to manage their networked cabinet power distribution units (CDUs), including all alerts, alarms and power and environmental information," said Calvin Nicholson, senior director of software and firmware development. The Server Technology SPM management pack, through the SPM Application Program Interface (API) enables graphical measuring, monitoring and trending of network power data through the data center enterprise. When SPM reports critical rack-level events, configured data in SPM is made available through Microsoft's System Center Operations Manager to support decisions for improving data center uptime, increasing energy efficiency, reducing operating costs and minimizing carbon footprint. SPM's API has the capability to communicate data center information to existing management operations systems, such as System Center Operations Manager.
