Optical Probes suit spectroscopic sampling systems.

Press Release Summary:

Intended for user-configurable spectroscopic transmission sampling systems, FCP-300 Series can be combined with Swagelok™ components or FCF Flow Fixtures to configure NIR or UV-visible transmission cells with pathlengths from 2 mm for liquid analysis to over 2 m for gas analysis. Each probe is sealed, evacuated, and backfilled with high grade nitrogen, preventing contamination/condensation. Welded metal sealing withstands varying chemical conditions, high pressures, and temperature extremes.

New Probes and Fixtures Provide for User-Configurable Spectroscopic Sampling Systems

Tustin, CA — Axiom Analytical, Inc., a leading supplier of sampling equipment, software, and integrated systems for all forms of vibrational spectroscopy, today announced the introduction of its FC Series components for user-configurable spectroscopic transmission sampling systems.  The key elements of the new series are the FCP-300 Optical Probes. These probes can be combined with either off-the-shelf Swagelok™ components or one of Axiom’s FCF Flow Fixtures to configure near-infrared (NIR) or UV-visible transmission cells having pathlengths ranging from 2 mm (for liquid analysis) to over 2 meters (for gas analysis).

FCP-300 probes employ robust construction combined with Axiom’s proprietary welded metal sealing technology, enabling them to withstand widely varying chemical conditions, high pressures, and extremes of both high and low temperature. Each probe is sealed, evacuated, and backfilled with high grade nitrogen, preventing contamination as well as condensation within the probe at low temperatures.  As a result, spectroscopic sampling systems employing FC Series components can be deployed in virtually any environment including out of doors under sub-zero conditions.

About Axiom Analytical, Inc.

Axiom Analytical, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Dr. Mike Doyle and Norm Jennings, pioneers in the field of process FTIR spectroscopy. The Company’s mission is to develop and market the robust sampling equipment, software, and integrated systems required to fully realize the potential of vibrational spectroscopy for solving economically significant problems both in laboratory analysis and manufacturing processes.  The Company’s products are employed in diverse industries ranging from basic chemicals to pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and polymer processing. In short, the Company’s products are found wherever process analytical technology (PAT) is being applied.  Its hardware products include ATR probes, transmission probes, diffuse reflectance probes, Raman probes, flow cells for gas and liquid analysis, and fiber-optic multiplexers. These cover the full range of molecular analysis including mid-IR, near-IR, UV-visible, and Raman spectroscopy.

Axiom’s CEO, Dr. Mike Doyle, was awarded the Williams Wright award for 2014, recognizing his many contributions to the field of industrial molecular spectroscopy.
