IBASE Launches FWA6404 Network Appliance Based on Intel® Atom(TM) Processor C2000 Family with Intel® QuickAssist Technology

Taipei, Taiwan — IBASE Technology Inc. (TASDAQ: 8050), a leading manufacturer of network appliances, launches the FWA6404 network appliance featuring four high-speed Gigabit LANs and support for the new Intel® Atom™ processor C2000 family and Intel® QuickAssist technology. Built in a 1U rackmount chassis, the FWA6404 is designed for various networking applications requiring high computing performance and big bandwidth applications. LAN port supports onboard four Base-T Gigabit LAN ports and one LAN module card expansion slot. Two DDR3 memory sockets allow up to 16GB of system memory with or without ECC support.

This powerful networking system offers high performance, reliability, and functionality. The LAN bypass function, which is required in certain applications, is configurable in the BIOS. System fan installed ensure the right operation temperature for the system, as well as less fan noise. Rich I/O expansion and storage comes in the form of an mSATA-compatible Mini PCI-E socket, two USB ports, a console RJ-45 port, and a 2.5-inch HDD drive bay. PCI-E 4x riser card and GbE module cards are also supported. The product will be available in May, 2014.
