Thomas & Betts Adds Larger Sizes to PMA® XR90 Multilayered Conduit Line
Conduit with Wear Indicator Protects Cable for Robotic and Automation Applications
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Thomas & Betts (T&B) has expanded its line of PMA® XR90 multilayered conduit to include sizes up to NW 70 and metric 80, protecting a greater range of cable for robotic and automation applications.
PMA® XR90 multilayered conduit indicates the extent of surface wear with three concentric layers of nylon 12, each a different color. With no wear, PMA® XR90 multilayered conduit retains its black surface. As wear occurs, the center layer begins to show its yellow surface, which is an alert to prepare for maintenance. As more abrasion occurs, the inner layer shows its red surface, which indicates that maintenance is required. This visual inspection capability makes it more efficient to monitor wear and provide planning certainty for maintenance. These features help reduce costs by reducing maintenance time and use of spare parts.
Constructed of abrasion-resistant nylon 12, PMA® XR90 multilayered conduit offers a service life of up to 10 million cycles.
Other benefits of the PMA® XR90 multilayered conduit include its selection of support brackets, half shells and tube clamps, providing a complete cable protection solution. They are easy to fit and offer space-saving designs that enable running cable in maneuverable automation applications. The half shells and tube clamps offer lower mechanical load, which reduces torsion.
