SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced the U9403A Mini In-Circuit Tester (ICT), the first full-featured in-circuit test solution in a 5U rack-mount instrument form factor.  Keysight will unveil the new Mini ICT system at IPC APEX EXPO, Booth 3304, Las Vegas Convention Center, March 15-17.

The U9403A Mini ICT includes Keysight’s advanced vectorless test technology and provides an unmuxed per-pin programmable digital test architecture, ideal for manufacturers testing low-access devices. With full support for the industry-standard Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI), the Keysight Mini ICT runs true scalable parallel testing –  synchronous or asynchronous.  SCPI also simplifies the addition of in-circuit test, component level testing and diagnostics capabilities into functional test programs.

The U9403A Mini ICT will demonstrate simultaneous dual-board testing in full-automation mode using Sawyer, Rethink Robotics’ latest high-performance smart collaborative robot. This is a cost effective automation solution that can transform a company’s current operations through increased uptime, lower scrap rates and significant process quality enhancements.

“The Keysight Mini In-Circuit Test solution provides our customers with a flexible set of in-circuit test tools and capabilities that are especially useful when test access is limited,” said N.K. Chari, director of marketing and support, Measurement Systems Division, Keysight Technologies. “The Mini ICT system can be readily integrated with functional test platforms and will help manufacturers get their products to market faster at a lower cost.”

The U9403A Mini ICT is scheduled to be available in late March. Pricing for a 250-node test system starts at $30K USD. Additional information is available at www.keysight.com/find/mini-ict.

Keysight experts will also demonstrate the following solutions at APEX this year:

• The latest version of the fully integrated inline i3070 Series 5i in-circuit test system, now leaner than ever with an even smaller footprint. With short-wire fixturing, the i3070 is known for its ease of test transportability and repeatability. This award-winning solution is built to stringent specifications for SMEMA compatibility and is easily integrated into existing SMT lines.

• Attendees can also watch the automation robot Sawyer in action operating Keysight’s classic i3070 in-circuit tester at Rethink Robotics, Booth #3210.

• The low-cost small footprint i1000D Inline ICT system has one of the smallest manufacturing footprints in the market. This system comes complete with an integrated board handler for automating manufacturing tests of smartphones, LEDs, automotive boards with high component clearance and more. The i1000D includes digital testing, boundary scan and serial programming capabilities.

• The versatile x1149 benchtop boundary scan analyzer provides quick test turnaround and extensive coverage, from design and validation to new product introduction and volume manufacturing. Demonstrations of the x1149 will include support for Intel® Silicon View Technology (Intel® SVT) and flash programming of FPGAs.

• The Keysight TS-8989 Automotive Body and Safety Test Reference Solution is a complete off-the-shelf hardware and software solution for manufacturers of automotive body and safety electronics who have a need to accelerate their electronic functional test system development, integration and deployment.
