Load Cell Transmitter offers 0.01% accuracy.
Press Release Summary:
July 1, 2014 - Housed in DIN-rail package, Laureate LTE-WM combines Ethernet I/O, isolated 0–10 V or 4–20 mA analog output, and dual 120 mA relays. Full-scale input range ±20 mV and 1 µV resolution can be scaled internally to ±99,999 counts. Selected input range for full 4–20 mA output span can be as wide as ±99,999 counts or as narrow as 150 counts. Offering update rates of 50 or 60 per second, transmitter has isolated, 10 V/120 mA excitation supply that can power up to four 350 Ω load cells in parallel.

Load Cell Transmitter Offers 0.01% Accuracy, Ethernet and 4-20 mA Outputs
Press release date: June 30, 2014
The Laureate LTE-WM transmitter is designed for use with load cells, strain gauges and microvolt input signals where high sensitivity and stability are required. A most sensitive full-scale input range ±20 mV and 1 microvolt resolution can be scaled internally to ±99,999 counts. The selected input range for the full 4-20 mA output span can be as wide as ±99,999 counts or as narrow as 150 counts, limited only by considerations of electrical noise and time constants of the programmable moving average digital filter. Fast read rates up to 50 or 60 conversions per second are ideal for peak or valley capture and for real-time computer interface and control.
A built-in, isolated, 10V, 120 mA excitation supply can power up to four 350-ohm load cells in parallel. Load cell connection can be via 4 or 6 wires. With 4-wire load connection, the transmitter operates in a ratiometric mode to eliminate errors due to power supply variations. With 6-wire load connection, it also compensates for changing lead resistance, allowing long cable runs.
Discovery of LTE transmitters connected to an Ethernet local area network (LAN) is automatically achieved with Laurel's Node Manager Software, and the discovered transmitters can then be programmed over the Ethernet using Laurel's Instrument Setup Software. Both software utilities run on a PC under MS Windows and can be downloaded at no charge. A web server is also built into each node. Supported protocols are Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, and Laurel ASCII.
The transmitter’s 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or 0-10V analog output is galvanically isolated and linearized, providing 16-bit (0.0015%) resolution of the output span. Update rates are 50 or 60 per second. The transmitter’s dual solid state relays are rated for 120 mA at 140 Vac or 180 Vdc, and are suitable for alarm or control.
Unit pricing is $355, which includes AC power, Ethernet I/O, an isolated 4-20 mA output, and dual 120 mA relays. Add $30 for 10-48 Vdc power or Power over Ethernet (PoE).
