A New Safety Device for Mining and Construction
Press release date: May 02, 2014
The Model 527 RED offers a new level of safety to any job site. Studies have shown that the human eye is attracted to light, and that red is one of the most eye-catching colors. With this in mind, the Model 527 RED projects a large red “keep out” zone of light onto the ground to alert pedestrians and vehicles to stay out of potentially hazardous work areas, such as the swinging path of a shovel or drag line.
The Model 527 RED is available in a 12-24V DC configuration with a universal pedestal mount. It is constructed with a tough Xenoy housing and durable glass lens that are built to stand up to harsh environmental conditions. At 15 feet (4.6 meters), it produces an intense 322 maximum lux of bright, red light—ensuring that the “keep out” zone stands out in the dark. The Model 527 RED is backed by J.W. Speaker’s Lifetime Limited Warranty.
