New 1/6-in LCD CCD Imager Kit for OEM Vision Applications



Marcellus NY - Paul Kearney, President, AEI Optics Unlimited, recently announced the availability of repackaged Sony 1/6-in CCD Imager suitable for producing videoscopes and custom cameras as small as 6.0 mm.

The basic kit contains an imager package, cable and a motherboard that can fit within current endoscope-handle designs. The maximum, rigid distal portion is held to 13.5-mm - with the objective assembly delivered at customer's specifications. Both NTSC and PAL color systems are supported.

This compact imager kit easily integrates with current fiberscopes, converting them to videoscopes for use in medical and veterinary endoscopy. Other uses include dermatology and dental vision, intra-oral and extra-oral imaging.

Industrial applications include borescope conversions, custom cameras for covert surveillance and custom machine-vision devices.

The imager kit is available as a subassembly or as finished product according to customer's requirements.
