When paired with Buehler's MetaServ® 250 grinder-polisher, the Vector LC 250 power head enables semi-automatic operation. Compared to manual operation, semi-automatic grinding and polishing improves consistency by reducing operator-related variables, such as force and time. It can also contribute to productivity by enabling the operator to briefly step away from the machine to attend to other tasks. The Vector LC 250 provides single-force pressure from 0 to 11 lbs. (0 to 50 N) on one to four samples; pressure is set individually for each sample using the analog pressure setting display on the front of the power head. The power head, which does not rotate, uses mechanical sample loading and head positioning. For the flexibility of single- or central-force specimen pressure, as well as digital force control, digital timers and complimentary or contra power head rotation, upgrade to Buehler's standard Vector power head.
