Original Press Release:

Gas And Temperature Control Monitors Temperature, Initiates Ignition Sequence

A new, microprocessor-based control that accurately monitors temperature and begins the gas ignition sequence as needed, for the safe control of a gas burner, is being introduced by Fenwal of Ashland, Massachusetts.

The Fenwal 35-85 Series Integrated Gas & Temperature Control provides hot surface ignition with precise temperature control and can be configured to OEM customer application requirements with special displays, sensors, and local and remote setpoints. Designed for a variety of commercial water heating applications, it has a combustion blower control relay, and permits multiple ignition tries with custom timings and temperature algorithms.

Packaged on one PC board, the Fenwal 35-85 Series Integrated Gas & Temperature Control reduces components and wiring requirements, saves space, and improves reliability. Offering 24- or 120/240 VAC dual voltages with a 120 VAC igniter, it provides LED diagnostics, remote and local flame sense, short/open sensor detection, and thermistor sensoring with ±1 deg F accuracy.

The Fenwal 35-85 Series Integrated Gas & Temperature Control is priced from $30.00 up, depending upon complexity and quantity. Literature and price quotations are available on request.
