The Oce CS9050 is a basic, affordable, 54-inch wide eco-solvent printer that delivers high quality prints at production speeds. For shops considering entering the digital printing marketplace, the easy-to-use Oce CS9050 makes the transition simple. The Oce CS9050 delivers exceptional productivity in its price segment. Print speeds of up to 151 square feet per hour can be achieved. Multiple print modes, including 1440 x 1440 dpi, 1440 x 720 dpi, 720 x 720 dpi and 540 x 720 dpi are available. It is ideal for short run print jobs and can be used in light production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required. Advanced print technologies
The Oce CS9050 offers superior print quality and ink economy through the use of four-color inks plus Oce CS9000 VariaDot(TM) imaging technology and WAVE Stitching print modes.
Oce CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology produces dots with variable drop sizes to deliver finer details, smoother gradients and sharper images. The use of Oce CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology results in significantly lower ink usage of the Oce CS9050 when compared to the ink usage of six color printers using fixed dot inkjet technology; 25 to 35 percent less ink is used.
WAVE Stitching was first introduced in the Oce CS9000 Series; it prints in 'waves' instead of straight bands resulting in higher print quality, improved productivity and increased media versatility. In the Oce CS9050, WAVE Stitching is available in all print modes. With WAVE Stitching, the Oce CS9050 can produce prints with consistent quality in Production print modes, even when more demanding media are used. The level of banding in Production print modes is greatly reduced to less than that of many solvent printers in High Quality mode.
Environmentally safe eco-solvent system, easy to use
Eco-solvent inks offer customers the outdoor benefits of solvent inks, while making its use possible in a regular office, small print shop or storefront environment. There are no hidden costs for an optional air purification or ventilation system. The eco-solvent inks used in the Oce CS9050 offer an outdoor durability of up to three years, without lamination.
Coated and uncoated media can be used for indoor and short- to mid-term outdoor applications. Oce offers an assortment of roll-based media including self-adhesive vinyl, banner and textiles, as well as various indoor and outdoor papers and a range of specialty products.
The Oce CS9050 offers outdoor printing with the same ease-of-use as an aqueous indoor printer. The operator maintenance of the printer is limited to only five minutes per week.

To drive the Oce CS9050 printer, ONYX(R) PosterShop(R) Oce Edition software is available as an option. Default color calibration and ICC profiles -- optimized for the Oce CS9050 and select media combinations -- provide consistent, accurate color "out of the box."
