PORTABLE UNIT RESTORES CRUSHED CORES
The portable pneumatic Double E Core Straightener is designed to restore damaged fiber or metal-capped cores to original roundness in a matter of a few minutes. The Core Restorer provides an immediate payback by eliminating lost production/downtime, costly storage or return of damaged roll stock, and compromised customer delivery schedules. It also eliminates running out-of-round roll stock which can result in variation in web tension, loss of registration, premature web-break and costly machine downtime. The Core Straightener features a rugged all-steel frame; tough, hermetically sealed nylon-reinforced elastomer bellows impervious to most contaminants; three-way, two-position actuating slide valve; pressure relief valve; and optionally, a pressure regulator and gauge. The unit is air operated, so there are no hydraulic fluid leaks that may create a mess or damage the web. It is easy to use and only one operator is necessary. Available for 3 inch and 6 inch cores.
