Samtec Expands Power Offering with New Power-Edge(TM) One-Piece Interface

Samtec's new Power-Edge(TM) connector (PEC Series) is designed to bring power to the board through an edge card interface with three, seven or ten contacts. This one-piece interface is rated at up to 5 amps and has contacts on . 100" (2,54mm) pitch.

Built-in card latches on the PEC Series connector increase the withdrawal force required for removing the power board. Optional alignment pins and locking clips can be provided to ease of processing when attaching the interface to the board.

Samtec one-piece interfaces reduce cost by requiring the purchase and processing of only one component rather than two. Additionally, they provide superior quality through the elimination of bent pins typical of multi-component systems. Pricing begins 10 - 15 cents per line.
