Enjoy More Power And Precision With The John Deere Mini-Frame Z-Trak(TM)

John Deere introduces the 717A and 727A Mini-Frame Z-Trak(TM) commercial mowers, designed to increase standards for precision and efficiency on the worksite. These popular zero-turning-radius machines increase productivity and add control, while the smaller frame requires less trailer space and boosts maneuverability on tight jobs. Durability is key in commercial mowing and the 717A and 727A feature deep-deck mowers, made with 7--gauge steel and powerful vacuuming action that lifts grass before cutting while handling more material. Designed for the high-usage commercial market, these mowers are ideal for apartment and other residential properties, business and industrial complexes, and many others.

The 717A model has a 19-hp, vertical air-cooled Kawasaki gas engine with a 4.8-in. 7-IRON(TM) deck; the 727A model is powered by a 23-hp, vertical air-cooled Kawasaki and mows with a 54-in 7-IRON deck. Both models have overhead-valve design that offers more horsepower and torque per cubic inch of displacement, better fuel efficiency and minmized sound levels. A 2-gal. hydraulic reservoir allows the system to operate at cooler temperatures, extending engine life. A single-bodied dual unitized Kanzaki pump provides increased durability and serviceability.

An optional canister-type, heavy-duty air cleaner kit will be available for operating in dry, dusty conditions. For added durability both models are made of a unibody, fully-welded frame.
The two-lever drive control features improved responsiveness, allowing operators to select ground speed and direction by simply moving the levers forward and reverse.

A forward mowing speed up to 8 mph allows operators to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time. With a repositioned and larger, 8.5 U.S-gal. top draw fuel tank, operators can mow all day on one tank of gas.

Both the 717A and 727A come with wide-stance, square shoulder tires (23x9.5-12, 4PR drive tires and 13x5x6 front caster wheels) that provide excellent traction, flotation and curb climbing as well as a low center of gravity to increase hillside moving capabilities.

Adjusting the deck's mowing height is made easy with a foot-assist deck lift system. Cutting height positions range from 1.5 to 4.5 inches, in .25-in. increments.

Additionally, operators will find improved comfort with the high-back, deep-cushioned seats with armrests and fore and aft adjustments, and a smoother ride thanks to dual-lever, hydraulically dampened operator controls. A hinged foot platform makes service easier.

Both models can be fitted with attachments for field conversion, including the John Deere Tricycler(TM) Mulch Kit, deluxe comfort seat, heavy-duty air cleaner, two-bag material collection system and front light kit.

The 717A and 727A Mini-Frame Z-Traks are backed by the John Deere best-in-class, two-year bumper-to-bumper commercial mowing warranty.
