Chain Docks Load/Unload Trailers without Forklifts

Trailer loading has generally been something that has depended on the use of forklift units and side accessible trailers.

This means that there are normally lengthy periods of time associated with trailers and trucks sitting waiting to be loaded.

The use of Industrial Conveying Australia's (ICA's) Chain Docks in conjunction with the company's powered chain floor systems reduce the time associated with loading trailers and improves turnaround times and general transport.

Instead of trucks waiting for a load to be ready, docks enable the load to wait for its transport to arrive.

The loading time for trailers is reduced from over half an hour per load to less than three minutes.

Previously, to reduce loading times associated with trailers, two or more forklift units may have been used, this causing traffic and resource issues.

ICA Chain Docks are able to be integrated into a palletising and conveyor system or operate as standalone for fork loading by a single forklift truck.

Either way, the ability to have a dock loaded at any time and ready for the next truck allows for better management of personnel and reduction in loading delays.
