Palmer Wahl Instrumentation Group Announces the Addition of 316 Stainless Steel Case, Fitting, and Stem Options on Its Popular Line of All-Star Bimetal Thermometers.



Asheville, NC – Palmer Wahl Instrumentation Group announces the addition of 316 stainless steel case, fitting, and stem options on its popular line of All-Star Bimetal thermometers.  Now available on Palmer All-Star Series Bimetal thermometers, 316 hermetically sealed stainless steel case, fitting, and stem options are designed with Deepwater drilling and off-shore oil rigs in mind.  Models that include the 316SS case, fitting, and stem option are IP67 rated – dust tight and water tight up to 1 meter.  Fahrenheit ranges from -100°F up to 1000°F and Celsius ranges from -50°C up to 500°C are available, with over-range protection of up to 50% of range and accuracy within 1% of full scale.  Available with All Angle, Fixed Back Connected and Adjustable All Angle or Fixed Back connections have 7/8” Hex with ½” NPT Thread standard fitting.  Optional adjustable union fitting adjusts the stem to the full depth of your thermowell for metal to metal contact and maximum exposure to your process for superior heat transfer, eliminating the need to stock several different stem lengths. Lens is instrument quality glass, with plexiglass or shatter proof safety glass optionally available.



Quick lock cam-action bezel ring with heavy duty, heat resistant hermetically sealed gasket seals out moisture to prevent lens icing or fogging.  Pointer is adjustable for recalibration using an external reset nut and is standard with all models.  Choose from easy reading 5” (127 mm) or space-saving 3” (76 mm) dials with anti-parallax dial design and linear scale with black graduations and numerals on a low-glare white background, featuring a high visibility tapered-tip black pointer for ease of reading.  Available in stem lengths up to 60” (152 cm), the single helix bimetallic coil sensing element is located in the bottom 2.5” of the thermometer stem and is a high-torque, low mass design with silicon on coil for superior heat transfer characteristics, fast response, and consistent repeatability.  Design meets the American Society of Mechanical Engineers B-40.3 standard.
