SL Power Introduces New 500-Watt Power Supply for Demanding Architectural LED Lighting and Entertainment Systems

At 500 watts, the LU500 is ideal for LED and architectural lighting that requires a small form factor, high efficiency and wide input range. SL Power will be showcasing the new LU500 during the LDI trade show in Las Vegas, October 23 – 25 in booth number 438.
Power-dense and highly efficient, the units feature a universal AC input of 90 to 305VAC and DC output range from 12 to 48V. In addition, the LU500’s small footprint allows it to fit comfortably into a 2U chassis and provides up to 500 watts with moving air, higher than any power supply in its class. Meeting IEC61000-3-2 class C with PF of greater than 0.9 and EMI compliance to CISPR 15 or EN55015 for lighting, the new LU500 features active current sharing for parallel operation to deliver up to 1,000 watts for higher power needs. With an average efficiency of over 90%, the LU500 comes in a 4” X 7.25” X 2.2” chassis and features full output protection with over-temperature sensing circuits that will shut down the power supply – thus protecting the light fixture in case of overheating.
