New Handler 190 Spool-Gun-Ready Wire Feed Welder Helps Ease Setup
APPLETON, Wis. - Hobart Welding Products now offers its Handler® 190 wire feed welder to help ease aluminum welding and provide welders a low cost option to weld this material with a small frame MIG welder. The Handler 190 allows direct plug-in of the SpoolRunner(TM) 100 spool gun. This optional spool gun eliminates feeding problems associated with aluminum wire and can also be used with mild or stainless steel wire.
The Handler 190 wire feed welder is capable of operating on 230/240 volt circuits and offers an output range of 25 to 190 amps, allowing users to weld materials as thin as 24 gauge and as thick as 5/16 inch. It also features seven voltage selections and infinite wire-feed-speed control to provide users with greater control of the output parameters and help them gain better bead appearance with less spatter - regardless of the type or thickness of material. The Handler 190 wire feed welder can also accommodate multiple wire types and sizes, including .023- to .035-inch mild or stainless steel; .030- to .045-inch flux-cored wires; and .030- to .035-inch aluminum wires. Additionally, it features dual-groove quick-change drive rolls that make it easy to change from one wire size to another. A comfortable 10-foot gun and a 10-foot work cable with clamp come standard with the Handler 190 wire feed welder and allow users to weld with greater ease and maneuverability.
Other excellent features offered to make welding easier for the user include a door chart that provides initial settings for different wires, gases, materials and thicknesses; a built-in gas solenoid valve and dual-gauge regulator with gas hose; a sample spool of .030-inch self-shielded flux-cored wire; and .030-inch contact tips.
Hobart Welding Products offers its 5/3/1 Industrial Warranty on the Handler 190 wire feed welder. The warranty covers transformers for five years, offers three-year protection on electronics and features a one-year warranty on guns.
