LiveDigital Introduces First User-Driven Advertising Platform for Online Media



LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 /-- LiveDigital (http://www.livedigital.com/), a next generation video programming and channel site, announced today the launch of a revolutionary new platform that enables Internet video users, a.k.a. channel programmers, to select which advertisements will appear on their user generated channels, as well as specifically where advertisements will be displayed. Channels that show more advertisements and ultimately become more popular will be eligible to earn a share of $25,000 during LiveDigital's February Sweeps.

With the Ad Picker, LiveDigital channel programmers are able to select from six different ad placements and several different ad types, including leader boards (728 X 90), squares (300 X 250) and banners (468 X 60). Alternatively, users may also opt to allow LiveDigital to automatically choose advertising for each placement. LiveDigital has partnered with several advertising networks to provide hundreds of advertisements across 27 categories ranging from dating to travel.

"This is the first application on the web that enables content creators and channel programmers to control the advertising that is shown as part of their own personal brand. LiveDigital channel programmers can select advertising which reinforces the emotional appeal of their channel," said Sumant Sridharan, Director of New Media for LiveDigital. In conjunction with the Ad Picker launch, LiveDigital has also announced a $25,000 February Sweeps contest, in which users compete by creating their own channels and earning points by placing advertisements and driving traffic to their channels.

The top 25 LiveDigital channels are guaranteed to receive a minimum of $200, with the remaining money split among those channels according to their respective ratings. For example, if a channel receives 80% of all traffic on LiveDigital, the channel programmer would be eligible to receive $16,000. Winners of the LiveDigital February Sweeps will be announced on March 1, 2007.
