Just Drink(TM) Water Purifier Essential for Hurricane Preparedness

SAFETY HARBOR, Fla., July 19 -- In time for hurricane season, Sawyer Products, Inc. has introduced an emergency drinking water purifier kit as part of the Just Drink(TM) product line. The kit includes the most effective water purifier on the market along with a 34oz. polycarbonate bottle, a five-gallon gravity feed bag and a faucet adaptor -- essential tools for providing clean drinking water after a severe storm.

"Following a hurricane, a city's water supply can be contaminated by viruses and bacteria. In addition to posing serious health risks, contaminated water can prevent residents from returning to their homes and hinder clean-up and recovery efforts," said John T. Smith, engineer and water specialist for Sawyer(R). "In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, we made a commitment to create the best water purification kit available to provide relief for those affected by future storms."

Sawyer's Just Drink(TM) emergency drinking water purifier kit yields more than 3,000 gallons of pure water from any source of water without using electricity.

o Used with the included faucet adaptor, the purifier provides clean water for cooking or drinking.
o Attached to the included five-gallon gravity feed bag, the purifier provides a large volume of water for bathing and cleaning.
o Attached to a straw inside of the included 34oz. polycarbonate bottle, the purifier provides safe drinking water while on the go.

The science that drives Just Drink(TM) -- Hollow Fiber Membrane filter technology -- consists of thin hollow porous tubes with uniform pore sizes. As water flows through the tubes, harmful bacteria, cysts and viruses are trapped, allowing only pure water to reach the drinker.

Sawyer's purifiers exceed Environmental Protection Agency and National Sanitation Foundation recommendations for bacteria, cyst, and virus removal rates. Sawyer's water purifiers remove 99.99999% of all harmful bacteria such as salmonella, cholera and E. coli and 99.9999% of protozoa such as Giardia in addition to 99.9997% of all viruses.

Just Drink(TM) products are available online at http://www.justdrink.net/ or at retail outlets including: Academy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Sportsman's Warehouse and select Wal-Mart locations.
