Water-Cooled Brake Provides Greater Range of Tension and Control

Cleveland, Ohio...The NEW WCBD patented dual piston water-cooled brake from Eaton Corporation's Airflex Division is an air actuated, water-cooled disc brake. Its dual piston design allows for a wider range of applied tension with greater control. The small piston only can be applied to provide 25% of the full rated brake torque or the large piston only can be applied to provide 75% of the full-rated brake torque. Applying both pistons simultaneously will supply 100% of the full-rated torque. The dual piston powerhead can be fitted to existing Airflex WCB brakes without modification. The WCBD is available in 6 sizes with torque ratings to 2,744,000 lb-in and horsepower ratings to 5,200HP. Aside from the dual piston, the WCBD provides all the money-saving features and benefits of our newly
redesigned WCB2, such as: split wear spacers that allow for wear and adjustment without disassembly of the brake, specially formulated friction material to eliminate stick slip and optional corrosion protection.
