Advanced Video Laryngoscope, Now in Reusable Configuration, Enables Quick Intubation
BOTHELL, Wash., -- Verathon Inc. is pleased to introduce the GlideScope® AVL Reusable video laryngoscope. Designed for 1st Pass Success, this new reusable configuration for the GlideScope AVL (advanced video laryngoscope system) features a digital color monitor with DVD-clarity, an anti-fogging mechanism that resists clouding and lens secretions, and advanced resolution output for OR theater viewing. Its integrated real-time recording captures the details of difficult intubations to help confirm tube placement and facilitate teaching. Offered in four sizes, the new AVL Reusable covers a wide range of patients. Now healthcare providers can choose the advanced video laryngoscope configuration, reusable or single use, that is best for their facility.

Newly Designed GVL 2 for Small Patients
Verathon® has enhanced the capability of its GlideScope AVL Reusable by adding a newly designed GVL® 2 for small patients. Featuring a slimmer profile, the GVL 2 is intended for pediatric patients weighing 4 to 20 kg. As pediatric intubations can often become challenging, this redesigned laryngoscope delivers consistently clear, real-time views, enabling swift intubation in unpredictable clinical conditions. It joins the product line which now offers four reusable size options: GVL 2, 3, 4, 5.
The new GlideScope AVL Reusable video laryngoscope and the GVL 2 will debut at the 2011 American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) annual meeting in Chicago, Booth #2003, and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Scientific Assembly in San Francisco, Booth #1810, both in October.
