Able to produce up to 120 x 60 x 4 in. panels, veneer/vinyl laminating system incorporates hot melt roller coater, powered lay-up conveyor, and rotary laminator. Unit accepts hand-fed core materials and applies adhesive in smooth, even, controlled amount. While common edge guide ensures proper positioning of veneer top layer and delivers core to backstop, upper veneer rack conveyor is angled and adjustable to help ensure proper delivery of top laminate layer.

New Veneer/Vinyl Laminating System
The Union Tool Corporation introduces the new veneer/vinyl laminating system, which incorporates a Hot Melt Roller Coater, Powered Lay-up Conveyor and Rotary Laminator. Maximum sizes of panels produced can be up 60" wide x 120" long and 4" thick.
This new laminating system runs hand-fed core materials, such as plywood, medium density fiberboard and some metals like aluminum, through a Hot Melt Roller Coater. Adhesive is applied in a smooth, even controlled amount to the top of the core material with the material coming out on a Semi-automatic Lay-up Conveyor. The conveyor moves the coated core to a common edge guide to insure proper positioning of the veneer top layer and delivers the core to a backstop.
The upper veneer rack conveyor is angled and adjustable to help the operator insure proper delivery of the top laminate layer. Upper and lower rolls fit the upper veneer and lower laminated core together. The lower powered conveyor feeds the laminated panel to the rotary laminating press to deliver the final product.
This laminating system also includes a vinyl roll applicator with tension control to eliminate wrinkles in the application of the vinyl to the coated core material.
